Etienne joined Dynamo in September 2022 as an Actuarial Graduate in the UK office. He recently completed his MSc in Actuarial Management with Data Science from Heriot-Watt University and is currently working towards IFoA accreditation. Etienne has experience with languages including R, Python, VBA and MATLAB and is interested in how Machine Learning can be incorporated into actuarial processes.
Fun fact: Etienne has been scuba diving with sharks and barracudas.
David joined the London office in September 2022 as an Actuarial Graduate. He attained his MSc Actuarial Science from University College Cork in 2022 following an undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance in University College Dublin. David is working towards becoming a qualified actuary and he is very excited to join Dynamo and to continue to develop his technical and professional skillset. Aside from spending his spare time playing and watching sports, David enjoys watching movies and reading books.
Fun fact: David scored a (wrongly) disallowed goal in an All-Ireland Final in Gaelic Football.
Simon joined Dynamo in September 2022 as a Consultant in the Stavanger office. His actuarial background is primarily in non-life insurance capital modelling with a focus on Solvency II. Simon’s previous role to joining Dynamo was as a Senior Actuarial Analyst for Ageas Insurance Limited.
Simon graduated with a PhD in applied mathematics in 2019, a MSc in actuarial science in 2014 and a BSc in mathematics in 2013, all from the University of Southampton. He has completed all the examinations to become a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and is currently waiting to be inducted.
In his free time, Simon enjoys athletics, watching rugby and learning Norwegian.
Fun fact: Simon won a gold medal at the British University & College Sport (BUCS) championships in men’s artistic gymnastics for the still rings apparatus in 2019.
