Welcome Luca, Halima, Esther and Tadi!

Luca Farrer

Luca joined Dynamo Analytics’ London office as a Consultant in March 2022.

Since obtaining a first class degree in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford in 2018, she has worked at PwC, where she qualified as a general insurance Actuary. Whilst at PwC, Luca worked across various projects from general insurance audits, to building automated tech solutions that perform the financial modelling for non-insurance clients.

In her spare time, Luca enjoys photography, swimming and has recently taken up yoga. She also has a growing jungle of indoor plants that she struggles to keep alive!

Fun fact: When she was 10 years old, Luca chose her own middle name and changed it by deed poll (she chose Liberty… and her sister, aged 7, chose Freedom!).

Halima Sadiq

Halima joined Dynamo in March 2022 as a Project Manager in the London office.

Graduating with a BSC Hons in Computer Science, Halima started out as a software developer focusing on Investment banking and insurance software projects, moving into Incidence, change and release management. Over the last 10 years, Halima has been managing business and client relationships, processes, and projects. With a heavy focus on actuarial model release planning & implementation, vendor & people management, and external reporting operations management.

Halima is a Certified Actuarial Analyst and ITIL Certified.

Outside work, you will find Halima lifting weights, in nature and musing about theology.

Fun fact: Halima got lost for 6 hours climbing Snowdon in Wales and can make a mean Jollof.

Esther Glover

Esther joined the London office in March 2022 as a Project and Student Manager. Esther started her actuarial career with a degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Kent. After graduation she joined the employee benefits team at what was then Towers Perrin. After spending time in London, Philadelphia and Frankfurt she qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2004.

In 2005 Esther left industry to pursue a career in teaching, joining first the Actuarial Science programme at the University of Kent and then the University of East Anglia where she was course director from 2016.

Esther enjoys helping others to develop their skills and likes a challenge. In 2017 Esther ran a 10K race and vowed never to do it again!

In her spare time Esther enjoys crocheting blankets and spending time with her family which currently involves a lot of watching football matches in muddy fields.

Fun fact: Esther drives a gold/yellow VW beetle which she loves and if she won the lottery she would buy a beach hut at Wells-next-the-sea on the North Norfolk Coast and fill it with crochet blankets, bunting and books.

Tadi Mkonto

Tadi joined Dynamo in March 2022 as a Graduate Actuary in the Australian office. He graduated from the University of Kent in 2020 with an honours degree in Actuarial Science. His previous role was as an Actuarial Analyst at the National Disability Insurance Agency in Australia, where he gained experience in fields such as data analysis, financial sustainability assessments and SAS.

He spends most of his free time playing basketball with friends, attending music/food festivals, and immersing himself in mystery content such as novels or films. He is looking forward to working at Dynamo and is excited for the opportunity to develop his skills and work alongside the team!

Fun fact: Trialled spending a whole day using a VR headset without taking it off once.

Fun fact: Lisa spent time working in Italy and speaks some Italian.

Geran Swarts

Geran joined Dynamo in February 2022 as a Software Developer in the South African office. He graduated in 2019 from the University of Stellenbosch with a degree in Mechatronics Engineering. Prior to joining Dynamo, Geran worked at a Software Engineering Consultancy in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

He has developed a great affinity for C# development and software design principles in general from this prior experience.

Outside of work you can find him in one of his local botanical gardens looking for his next plant adoptee, lost in an epic fantasy novel or practicing and sharpening his drawing skills.

Fun fact: Geran has a habit of saving the seeds from any fruit he eats and trying his utmost to germinate and grow them – to varying degrees of success unfortunately.
